A BBQ on the Southbank?
With lockdown restrictions nearly over, summer coming into full swing and the country seeing a sense of normality, what better way to celebrate that with a BBQ on the river!
Jimmy brings back the BBQ Club (he may well be the hardest working man in the pop up game!) for the summer season. With incredible food (6 courses), table mounted green egg BBQs and the picturesque riverside views, you can see why we were excited to try it out!
BBQ Oasis On The River
As the madness ensued during lockdown, it seems Jimmy continued this theme and has gone and built a HUGE pergola and deck along the Southbank boasting mini oasis street food dining areas complete with deck chairs and sofas, as well as the BBQ club itself.
The BBQ Club Pergola
In the BBQ club itself you can take charge of the grill with their big green egg BBQs to create your own perfect 6 course meal. With the chefs on hand within the pergola guiding you through each course with cooking time recommendations, drink pairings and beautifully presented plates.
The meal includes monk fish, 45-day aged sirloin steak (which was incredible), marinated 5 space fuck and flatbread with smoked aubergine humous. Bloody delicious.
Even the worst cook of our group was able to produce something pretty impressive, although the chefs prep ma have helped there!
Street Food Area
If you opt to go for the other half of the club, the garden patches, or mini oasis as we called them, you can order right from your phone. You can pick up some summer cocktails, beers, and amazing street food. A proper picnic!
Jimmy hasn't stopped there, and you can also jump into some competitive socialising with some boules, beach tennis, swing ball and even connect 4.
We were utterly blown away by the whole experience and shall be back many many more times!
Tip: book in advanced as the BBQ club fills up fast!

Jimmy clearly knows a thing or two about experiences, because yet again he's blown us away with one of his pop up experiences. From start to finish the BBQ was incredible. Amazing food, amazing staff, and not too shabby views!
