Feliks Topolski was born in Warsaw, Poland, in 1907. He studied at the Warsaw academy of art, and moved to London in 1935, when he was commissioned to record the silver jubilee of King George V. In 1975 Topolski opened his studio in the railway arches a stones-throw from Waterloo station.
